Hello

My name is Damian Hill and I have been training for 3+ years over a diverse range of training styles from cardio and endurance to strength training as well as a diverse range of training splits and dieting styles as well. While I may not have a degree I am certified as a personal trainer and have devoted the past 3+ years to learning the art that is fitness and transforming your body not only physically but mentally as well. I want to make a positive change to the world by introducing as many people as possible to the gift of fitness and what it can do to change your life.

My Story

Growing up I was always the fat kid and that's how most people knew me, not by my personality, not by my abilities and skills, but by the fact that I was fat and growing up I was always bullied for it constantly by friends and family. This on top of a lot of other things caused me to be really depressed and I was even diagnosed with clinical depression at the age of 12. This also caused me to not have a lot of friends and most girls didn't even look at me because of the way that I looked. For the longest time I tried to get people to accept me, to like me as a person. Eventually on March 12th of 2021 I had decided that enough was enough and went on a hard cut and stared working out 6 days a week from home with little dumbbells and a small bench that I had in my house. I cut my calories from over 4,000 a day to just 1,500 and saw progress quickly. However, after peaking in at about 240 pounds, after just 4 months I was under 200. This constant bullying caused me to cut down to my lowest weight of 140 pounds. During this time I was also on the wrestling team in high school which is where I learned most of what I know about cardio and endurance training. However this massive cut just caused even more bullying with people calling me anorexic and saying that I looked like a twig. So after awhile with encouragement from my doctor after an injury I quit wrestling and started bulking up which was one of my greatest fears as I was afraid I would be that fat kid again. However over time I have just built muscle and gotten the physique that 15 year old me would dream about with every set of sit ups and pushups. It wasn't easy and took a lot of hard work, set backs, discipline, and trail and error to find out how to properly diet and how to properly train for what fit my body the best. I had had a trainer after about 6 months when I joined my first gym, however, the trainer that I had did not help with my personal needs. That is why I recommend to everyone to find a good trainer, someone that will work with you personally and not slap some basic program and expect you to figure it all out which is what was done to me. This not only made it harder on me but helped me to gain the knowledge that I have today and helped build the unrelenting discipline that it takes to go into the gym and give it my all every time. My goal as a trainer is to work with each and every person on a personal level, and help them through their fitness journey whether you are just the beginner fat kid like me, the intermediate skinny kid who is afraid to bulk up, or you are experienced in the gym and need help to take it to that next level. Fitness is and always will be my greatest passion and I hope to not only help my clients physically but mentally as well. Through fitness I have been able to channel all of those negative thoughts, all the hate, and all of the anger into each and every set. Through the gym I have found discipline, hard work ethic, and true self love for myself. The gym helped me love myself and other people because no matter what shape or size you are, everyone is a human being with feelings who deserves to be heard, deserves peace, and deserves love.
